PERCEPTION OF HYPERTENSION PATIENTS ON THE USE OF HERBAL DRUGS IN COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY OF HYPERTENSION IN DENPASAR CITY

The prevalence of hypertension in Denpasar City still quite high, with an estimated 177,627 sufferers 2019. One alternative treatment that can be option to lower blood herbal therapy. Herbal therapy complementary using medicinal plants. Objective: purpose this research identify characteristics respondents, perception on use medicines and types herbs used hypertension. type descriptive quantitative approach. Methods: Sampling technique purposive sampling. sample hypertensive patients who conventional combination therapy, age >17-65 years, instrument form questionnaire. Data analysis carried out SPSS software. Results: majority are range 46-65 years (elderly) as many 71 people (71%), female 57 (57%). Respondents have positive 55% negative 45%. cucumber, melon, watermelon, celery leaves, bay moringa meniran garlic Ginger. Conclusion: perceptions drug has value. That means, respondents believe benefits help reduce costs. most widely are: cucumber (40%) leaves (30%).
